Dr. Ainhoa Serna Nocedal is Computer Science Engineer by the University of Deusto 1996 and Computer Science Ph.D. by the Mondragon Unibertsitatea in 2006. She joined Mondragon Unibertsitatea in 1999.  Her recent work is being focused on the tourism and mobility sector, related to the measurement and economic analysis of tourism activity at the sub national level, and its impact on tourism destinations. She also led the joint research teams of the university and the Cooperative Research Centre in tourism, CICtourGUNE. The technological areas of Dr. Serna´s expertise are data engineering and semantics, including 'Big Data', 'Linked Open Data', the semantic web and the natural language processing. She is member of Editor Board in tourGUNE Journal of Tourism and Human Mobility.
